This Beginners Crochet Tutorial takes you step-by-step through making a 4 rounds of a flat circle, which also creates a Coaster Mat; and is an ideal starting point, when starting to learn to crochet from scratch. This project is one of my YouTube "Beginners" Learn to Crochet series and you'll be learning to make a slip stitch, a chain and the (UK) treble stitch. I've used a 4mm hook and Stylecraft Special DK yarn, but you could equally use a 5mm hook with some (UK) Aran weight yarn, or a 6mm hook with (UK) weight chunky yarn.
