Hi, I'm Wendy and welcome to the bespoke dressmaking and
costume area of my website.
I've been a dressmaker and costume maker throughout my working life and after studying Fashion in London back in the late 1970's, then went on to work making costume for film and TV. I then also worked in pattern cutting and size grading for a well known High Street Fashion Store. Since then I have been dressmaking and making Stage Costume, Historical Costume, Bridal and Prom Wear - with an eye for detail and fit, throughout my life.
I now also include bra cup size fitting to my garments and the photos above, are examples of bras and longline bras, where the fit can be incorporated into occasion wear and costume.
I now live in Mid Cornwall in the South West of the UK and you can read more about my background in dressmaking and costume here.
I still make Costumes, Bridal, Bridesmaids and Prom Dresses and sometimes take on commissions, depending on time constraints and availability. I can also except alterations for Bridal, Bridesmaids and Prom Dresses, as long as they are new.
Please note: I do not take on general dressmaking, large batch sewing, or general alterations.
