Beginners Learn to Crochet Videos
This series of Beginners videos is designed for the absolute beginner, with no previous experience. I take you slowly, step-by-step from making your slipknot at the beginning, right though to finishing of your ends.
You will need some (UK) weight double Knitting acrylic yarn in a light, or bright colour, plus a 4mm crochet hook (a 4.5mm hook can be handy to have as well). I also suggest to purchase a couple of stitch markers, but don't worry if you don't have these, you can use a spare scrap of yarn instead.
You can pick and choose these videos in any order and each one will help you to develop a new skill. So dive in and I hope you enjoy learning to crochet with me. . .
If you are new to crochet, this video takes you through everything you need to know to get started, including what you'll need, how to hold the hook and I'll teach you how to make a slipknot and a chain.
Absolute Beginners Granny Square
This is my "Absolute Beginners" version of making a Granny Square and I feel that a 2 colour version is an easier option to learn, compared to a plain Granny Square for beginners.
I take you slowly step-by-step though how to make a slipknot, a chain and the (UK) treble stitch. I then progress slowly through the first four rounds of making a granny square and show you how to darn in your ends. A free accompanying pattern is also available to download HERE

In this video you will learn how to make a chain and a ring, and learn to work the (UK) double crochet stitch into your ring. This will give you the basic skills to making crochet flowers.
Make Pretty Bunting and Learn the (UK) Treble Stitch
In this video you will learn how to make a foundation chain and how to make the (UK) treble stitch and slip stitches to create this quick and pretty bunting. A downloadable PDF pattern is also available HERE
